Are you unhappy with stubborn fat and loose skin? These problems are often associated with pregnancy, weight fluctuations and aging. There may also be genetic factors at play. BodyTite is a minimally invasive device that uses radiofrequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to eliminate fat, improve cellulite, and tighten skin. BodyTite provides unprecedented three-dimensional contraction of the dermis, subdermal connective tissue matrix and deep fat. In Ann Arbor, Dr. Jessica West specializes in this innovative technology offered by Inmode. BodyTite can be combined with liposuction to provide further body contouring. What is BodyTite?
BodyTite is a minimally invasive technology used to melt fat and contract skin. It delivers radiofrequency energy to the precise treatment area without affecting surrounding tissue. It works just about anywhere on the body, including:
Plus, with FaceTite, this technology can be applied to small, delicate areas of the face and neck for a minimally invasive facelift. Dr. West will assess your physique to determine if BodyTite is appropriate.
Outpatient, In-Office Treatment
BodyTite uses a handheld device to reduce fat and tighten tissue with proprietary Radio Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL). It involves inserting a narrow, thin tube (called a cannula) through tiny incisions underneath the skin. The tip of the cannula holds an electrode, which emits radiofrequency energy. The radiofrequency energy heats the fat and subcutaneous tissue, thereby melting fat while tightening the skin. The melted fat cells are suctioned away with the cannula. It can be performed in office under local anesthesia, or at a local surgery center when combined with more extensive liposuction.
Patients love BodyTite for its many advantages:
- Contours and shapes stubborn areas
- Contract and lifts skin
- Improves cellulite
- Minimal downtime
- Lasting results
- Tiny incisions
- No hospital stay
Our cosmetic surgeons can complete this procedure at our Ann Arbor practice. You will be fully awake and able to respond to our instructions. When you go home, there won’t be any drawn out recovery from stronger anesthesia. BodyTite makes it possible to renew your confidence in your body. Some fat simply does not respond to any amount of strenuous exercise, and it is exactly that type of stubborn tissue that BodyTite is so well-suited to treating.
Dr. West and our patient coordinators are here to answer your questions. Call us today and arrange a consultation. In the meantime, here are several of the most frequently asked questions.
Does BodyTite reduce fat? BodyTite reduces fat in targeted locations on the body. It does so without invasive surgery by causing liquefaction of fat via radiofrequency energy.
Does BodyTite tighten skin? Bodytite tightens skin by applying radiofrequency energy in a controlled and uniform manor above and below the skin. This causes tightening of the skin, as well as the fibrous network below the skin for exceptional three dimensional results. This is an excellent treatment for areas where skin can become loose and started to sag, such as the thighs or upper arms.
How long does it take to recover from BodyTite? You may feel a little sore and the treatment area will be swollen after the procedure. Mild bruising is also normal. We recommend taking it easy for a few days – don’t engage in strenuous exercise and demanding activities. You should be able to resume gentle activity the next day and exercise in a couple weeks. The recovery from BodyTite is much faster than that associated with other surgical procedures. If combined with more extensive liposuction, you with will feel sore for approximately 1 week and required to wear a compression garment for several weeks.
What is the difference between BodyTite and liposuction? The BodyTite procedure refers to the radiofrequency energy applied to stubborn areas with the BodyTite applicator. The applicator applies energy above and below the skin. Liposuction refers to the physical removal of fat cells by suctioning them out with a cannula. For more extensive body contouring, BodyTite is often combined with liposuction. Liposuction alone does not tighten the skin. BodyTite provides the added benefit of skin tightening and liquefying fat prior to suctioning, giving patients superior results and an alternative to more extensive excisional surgeries that require skin removal and large scars (such as tummy tuck or brachioplasty for arms).
What is the cost of BodyTite? The cost of BodyTite depends on the number of areas being treated, the size of the areas, and whether or not it will be combined with liposuction. We provide a cost estimate at your consultation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We also take cashier’s checks and cash. Personal checks may be an option for certain cosmetic procedures. You may qualify for CareCredit financing. Please call us for details.
Is BodyTite permanent? The fat reduced with this treatment is reduced permanently. It is of course still possible to gain weight. With a healthy diet and regular physical activity, you can maintain your results for the long-term.
Does BodyTite help cellulite? Yes, BodyTite can reduce the appearance of cellulite. It does so by smoothing the fat that may be causing your skin to dimple. It causes three-dimensional contraction of the dermis, subdermal connective tissue and deep fat to improve cellulite. We also offer the non-invasive Evolve Tite & Trim applicators for cellulite reduction.
